Horological preservation without compromise
At New York Watchmaker, we define restoration as the exact intersection of mechanical science and artistic stewardship. We do not simply repair watches; we maintain the historical and financial integrity of horological assets.
"Precision is not a metric. It is a baseline. Our mandate is to return every timepiece to the exact technical state it was in when it left the manufacturer."
Our Midtown studio is equipped with the same technical infrastructure utilized by the major maisons in Geneva. We leverage Witschi Chronoscope diagnostics for timing analysis and Elma ultrasonic systems for contamination removal.
We refuse the use of generic components. Our sourcing protocol ensures that every replacement part—from hairsprings to gaskets—is a genuine manufacturer component. Whether working with 904L stainless steel or 18k gold filler wire for laser welding, we match the original metallurgy to ensure a seamless restoration.
Being an independent atelier allows us to prioritize quality over volume. Unlike authorized service centers governed by corporate quotas, we dedicate as much time as necessary to a single caliber to ensure it meets our internal 5-point certification for amplitude, water resistance, and positional accuracy.
